SizeRight

About SizeRight

SizeRight started with a common problem: a visa portal, job site or university form rejects your photo because it is too big, the wrong shape, or an iPhone HEIC file. Most fixes mean uploading a passport photo to a website you don't know.

SizeRight does the work inside your own browser instead. You pick a limit, such as "under 100 KB" or "600 × 600 pixels", and the tool finds the best-quality version that fits. Your photo never leaves your device.

What it can do

  • Compress a photo to just under a size you choose, in KB.
  • Resize and crop to exact pixels, with presets for common visa and passport photos.
  • Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG.

How it is funded

SizeRight is free to use and is supported by ads. There are no accounts and no watermarks.

A note on official rules

Photo rules are set by each government and organisation and they change. SizeRight presets follow the published requirements at the time of writing, but always check the official site before you submit an application.

SizeRight is built and maintained by an independent developer in Alexandria, Egypt.
